Textlink Free to use Google Maps -  Enter your Co-ordinates

When you telephone your Textracker product, the GPS co-ordinates will be sent via a text message, to your mobile phone, giving the exact location of your vehicle at that time. The co-ordinates will be in the decimal format and will include "N" or "S" and "E" or "W".  When entering the information in any pc mapping software or web maps, please include a negative sign (-) immediately in front of the numbers when the Latitude is "S", (South) and when the Longitude is "W", (West). Do Not enter any letters.

The Google web maps are free to use and cover all the countries in the world. In the format explained above enter your latitude and longitude separated by a comma in the title box at the top of the screen. These world maps will also provide satellite views of the location. To zoom in and out of the maps use the roller on the mouse. You can use the link below to enter your co-ordinates in Google maps.

The co-ordinates shown in the sample image below are set out as an example for you to see. "Textlink near Glasgow Airport" Bute Road, Renfrewshire PA3 2, UK. Click on the image to go to the Google maps webpage and enter your own co-ordinates to get your location.

PC Mapping software such as Microsoft Mappoint, Microsoft Autoroute or any other similar computer software package installed on your pc can also be used to pin-point locations.
