The SMS Textracker is a smart satellite security and tracking system that sends on request an SMS text message, the exact GPS position and alarm warning condition of a vehicle or asset directly to the users mobile phone. This product is designed for customers who need to know instantly when someone has stolen or moved their vehicle or asset from the position it was left at.

The SMS Textracker is a non contract, low cost solution for cars, boats, caravans, plant, farm equipment, almost any valuable asset or moveable item that requires to be secured then tracked. When the vehicle or asset is moved outside its safe-zone area a text warning message is sent to the users mobile phone. The cost is 2.5 pence when it sends the user a text message.

To find out where the vehicle or asset is at anytime the user simply telephones the Textracker which will return an instant text message with its position to within 2 metres. The co-ordinates received, latitude and longitude can then be entered into any computer mapping software or any web based mapping service like Google maps or Virtual earth to pinpoint its exact street location. Textlink have provided a free UK Web Mapping Service and a link to Google for this purpose.

This product uses the very latest in low power and satellite technology and has a built-in sensitive GPS positioning feature that enables it to operate even when it is positioned inside a building.

Functions & Features of the SMS Textracker

Geo-Fence security safe-zone alarm.

A safe-zone area, an invisible perimeter security fence can be set-up around the vehicle or asset. When it then moves or travels outside the set zone an alarm warning text message is instantly transmitted to the users mobile phone. The geo-fence can be enabled to work automatically, so that when the vehicle, boat, caravan or mobile asset returns to the safe-zone area it will re-arm itself again.

Operates from any network PAYG Sim.

The SMS Textracker can be purchased with or without a network Sim card fitted. When an alarm message is sent from the Textracker the cost of the text message is deducted from the credit balance on the Sim card used.

Immobilise or activate the vehicle alarm.

By texting a 5 digit password from a phone the user can trigger a relay (not supplied) that will instantly activate an existing vehicles alarm system, air horns, doors or if this output is connected to the immobiliser can prevent the vehicle from being driven away.

Connecting to a panic button or to the alarm.

A panic button (not supplied) can be installed in the vehicle for the safety of the driver. When the button is activated a panic alarm warning message is sent to the users mobile phone. This input can also be used to connect to the vehicles existing alarm, doors or any other triggered device from the vehicle or asset.

User programmable functions.

The Textracker is designed for the user to program the functions by sending 5 digit text message commands from their mobile phone.

The programming functions include switching to the low power sleep mode, thus preventing any drain from an external battery power source.

Boat owners, can also change the displayed format of the co-ordinates that are sent to their phone for pinpointing a position using marine maps to read in degrees, minutes, seconds.

As the product can operate anywhere through-out the UK and Europe the user has the option to offset the GMT time to the UK winter and summer settings or European Countries time zone.

Full re-chargeable battery back-up.

This product also comes supplied complete with the full re-chargeable internal battery back-up pack fitted and can operate when fully charged for up to 7 to 10 days without any external power source connected. This is ideal for applications where there is no 12v external feed available.

In an event where the external 12v power source is connected to the SMS Textracker and someone disconnects or tampers with the vehicle or assets battery then a text warning "Battery Disconnected" alarm message will be instantly sent to the users mobile phone.

The SMS Textracker is suitable for any type of equipment, car, bike, caravan, boat, farm vehicle, almost any valuable asset that can be lifted or towed away. To install the Textracker simply connect it to a 12v feed from the equipments battery, plug in the GPS antenna and hide it.
